PAPER PIECING WORKSHOPS
Tuesday 23rd February 2021 (5 Weeks)
6:00pm-9:00pm, £60
Tutor: Melanie Hughes
Via Facebook
If you enjoy paper piecing this course has many options for you. If you are a beginner, you can learn the foundation piecing technique by sewing traditional blocks like Log Cabin and Flying Geese. If you are more experienced have a go at the New York Beauty and Sunburst Medallion blocks and experiment with curved piecing.
Paper piecing is a technique that uses paper patterns to stitch your design, this helps accuracy and enables you to create traditional or pictorial designs. We may stitch samples at the beginning of the course if you need to gain confidence but then you can work on your own project.
You will need your own electric sewing machine and provide your own materials. Experienced stitchers may work on their own project and receive help and guidance as needed.
