Shôn Dale-Jones’ new show was going to be all about love. But what do you do when you’re writing a show all about love, and everything goes dark? You find a new story. A story with scones after midnight, family WhatsApp groups, and Grandmaster Flash.
Possible is a playful, honest and heartfelt piece of storytelling that blurs reality with a kaleidoscopic dreamscape of animation and film (by Bear Thompson), underscored with original music performed live by John Biddle. It’s a show about love, creativity and finding the courage to explore the past, in order to shape the future.
“Perfectly judged, unabashedly authentic and vulnerably autobiographical”
★★★★ The Guardian
“Dale-Jones is an exceptional storyteller, delicately weaving together multiple narratives… charming, relatable and authentic” Exeunt Magazine
“experimental, layered and what Welsh fringe theatre is really about” Get the Chance
“In using his storytelling skills to tell us what it has been like for him, Dale-Jones makes us consider more deeply what the last year has been like for us.” Lyn Gardner, Stagedoor
Possible was first created as a digital experience streamed live into audiences' homes while we couldn’t be together. Now, as venues across Wales reopen their doors, Possible is coming to Aberystwyth Arts Centre welcoming you back to live theatre, in person… like a big theatrical welcome home hug.
Please note, this play contains strong language and brief references to childhood sexual abuse that some audience members may find triggering
