‘VANITY FAIR’ COMMUNITY THEATRE AUDITIONS
Sunday 26 January 12pm-3pm
Rehearsal Room One
Aberystwyth Arts Centre Community Theatre Company will be audition for roles in ‘Vanity Fair’, written by William Thackeray (1848) and adapted for the stage by Richard Hogger and Tom O’Malley. This is an exciting piece, with a large cast, set in the early 1800s, before and after the Battle of Waterloo (1815).The characters strive for their place in a world of glittering prizes, temptations, hopes, and rivalries. It is a humorous, biting satire on the vanity of human aspirations.
We will be bringing this fast moving, funny and dramatically compelling story to life and are looking for adult performers from 16 upwards. The auditions are on Sunday 26th January 2020, 12-3pm, Rehearsal Room 1, the Arts Centre. If it is impossible for you to make that precise time, but want to be involved, please contact: email@example.com
Rehearsals will commence on Sunday 3rd February, running every Sunday, with a two week break at Easter, until June. Nearer the production date there may be additional rehearsals, possibly, on Thursdays. Actors need to be available from Wednesday 10th June, at the weekend and in the evenings of weekdays for work in the Great Hall in the run up to the performances on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th June. A full timetable of rehearsals will be issued on 26th January. We are also keen to know if any people auditioning can play portable instruments, for our street scenes. We hope you can make it!
