Inspired by Susan Richardson's fourth poetry collection and her residency with the Marine Conservation Society, Words the Turtle Taught Me is a multi-media performance incorporating ocean-themed story, poetry and art. Fostering engagement with endangered marine creatures, Susan blends science with shamanism, contemporary ecological peril with ancient myth.
Throughout 2018, Susan is taking her Words the Turtle Taught Me poetry show to venues around the coast of the UK. She is performing in arts centres and beach cafés, at universities and Wildlife Trust Visitor Centres from Aberystwyth to Edinburgh, from Cornwall to the Isle of Man.
