The Summer Art school experience from the comfort of your own home - celebrating colour
Four consecutive days with a new focus each day. The week is designed to help you gain confidence and ease with your art practice. Ruth welcomes adults and teens of all abilities, from beginners through to pros. There will be opportunity for sharing work and receiving support, guidance and feedback. A basic materials list will be sent out on booking but feel free to use whatever drawing medium you have to hand. Please check your junk email folder for details if you have not received them.
To make the most of these sessions, we recommend coming to all 4, but they are also available as stand alone workshops.
'I attended an online drawing workshop. It was amazing. Ruth Koffer was brilliant guiding us gently through drawing exercises that stretched me and made me look and draw differently. So immersive, calm and interesting. A real treat.' - Billie Ireland
Preparing for the classes:
Familiarise yourself with Zoom.
Make yourself comfortable
You won't need to see the screen at all times, as long as you can hear my suggestions, feel free to draw away from the screen. If you prefer to sit on a cushion on the floor, feel free. Make it as comfortable and relaxing for yourself as possible.
We ask you to keep your microphones on mute for the majority of the class but welcome questions all the way through the class. Please feel confident to unmute yourself when you need to ask a question and then mute again afterwards.
After the sessions:
In some of the sessions, we will have time to share our work at the end, but there is an invitation to email Ruth your images after the class so we can see what you've been up to. Feel free to email your work to ruthkoffer@hotmail.co.uk and amj@aber.ac.uk or tag @ruthkofferdrawing if you’re a Facebook user. Please let your friends and family know about us if you like these events.
