Flowers are deeply embedded within our lives and have been an inspiration to artists over centuries of art historical representation. Flora celebrates flowers as a powerful contemporary motif, making visible cultural, historical, geographic, social and scientific ideas. The exhibition presents new and existing work by key national and international artists which offer a refreshed perspective on the subject of the flower in art.
