Ralph Juergen Colmar (December-February 2009)

Winter artist in residence Ralph Juergen Colmar has spent the last twelve months on a variety of projects including animating a children's story 'The Cupboard Monster' written by Peter Franklin, a zero budget film with twelve poets in Bristol 'The Bristol Zebra, writing a 3 min  script for animation 'The Limits of Language'. He has also recently completed a proposal for a site specific installation in Gera in Germany.

This year Ralph's work has been screened at over a dozen festivals in England, France, Germany, Bulgaria and Romania, and has run animation workshops at both 24.IKFF in Hamburg and Bristol.

He is looking forward to meeting everyone in Aberystwyth, and animating an abridged version of Rutland Boughton's opera 'The Immortal Hour' during his three month stay in Aberystwyth with tremendous anticipation.
