Birmingham four piece Peace – made up of Harrison Koisser (vocals / guitar), brother Sam Koisser (bass), lead guitarist Doug Castle & drummer Dominic Boyce – released their debut album ‘In Love’ on Columbia Records on March 25th, 2013.
The top 20 album produced by Jim Abiss was the culmination of 18 months of excitement and anticipation surrounding the band. A series of attention grabbing releases; the critically acclaimed ‘EP Delicious’ – which featured huge tracks ‘Bloodshake’ & ‘Californa Daze’ – was followed by the early 2013 single ‘Wraith’ before ‘Follow Baby ‘and the album came around in March.
Countless tours throughout 2012 & 2013, including the coveted opening slot of the NME Awards Tour, widened their fan base ever further and proved Peace to be one of the best live acts out there. They won over all areas of the media with press, radio and TV support throughout, including covers of NME, The Fly & DIY, various Radio 1, 6 Music and XFM playlists and a performance for ‘Later with Jools Holland’ on top of the album.
The rest of 2013 was dedicated to playing the record live at a whole host of summer festivals and tours around the planet, taking in Asia, Australia, South America and the United States, as well as extensive touring in Europe. The end of the year saw one last headline tour across the UK for the ‘In Love’ campaign, with two sold out shows at Shepherds Bush Empire, and a massive celebratory homecoming show in Birmingham.
The later months of 2013 also found Harry & co back in the studio – a year of touring had got the creative juices flowing and material for their follow up record was in abundance. So 2014 will see the release of album #2 and already looks set to confirm Peace as one of the UK’s most important young bands.
