Carolyn Robson is a traditional folk song and dance specialist. She studied music at the London Royal Academy of Music in the early 70s before becoming a radio presenter and teacher. Her first solo album, 'Banks of Tyne' was released in 1981 on the Dingle's label. She went on to make two more solo albums as well as featuring on Kathryn Tickell's CD 'The Northumberland Collection'. Earlier this year she released a CD with Moira Craig, ‘Both Sides of the Tweed’, featuring songs mainly from Scotland and the north of England.
Moira Craig has long been recognised by club and festival goers for her superb interpretations of Scottish, Irish and English songs and ballads. She has appeared in Britain, Germany and the USA, both as a soloist, charming audiences with her clear ringing voice and wonderful repertoire. She has a solo album ‘On Ae bonny Day’ as well as three albums with Craig Morgan and Robson.
Wednesday afternoon workshop on ‘The Singing Voice’ is a must for all singers.
