A Journey of a Home by Two Destination Language is a one on one audio performance walk which takes you on a voyage. This voyage is the one you have never taken before, the biggest one so far. With themes of identity, border crossing and migration at the heart of the work, the piece deals with the ‘long moment’ created through the act of travelling, the place where we simultaneously look towards the future and back at what we have just left, in which hope meets reality. Gently questioning what Home is, the piece reflects on all the things that make our home family, friends, environments and possessions, the physical things which support, reinforce and bound our identity.
Please note: This performance will take place in 15 minute slots throughout the day on Fri 7th February from 11am - 1pm and 2 - 5pm and involve walking from the Theatre Bar into the woods adjacent to the Arts Centre. Please book at the box office, then make your way to the theatre foyer where you will be allocated your walk slot.
This performance is part of Site I – Safle I, a collaboration with Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Aberystwyth University Dept of Theatre Film and TV Studies with the support of the Institute of Literature, Language and Creative Arts. - See more at: http://www.aberystwythartscentre.co.uk/festivals/site-1-safle-1
