Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional festival in China. It begins on the first day of the first lunar month (usually in late January or early February) and ends on the 15th day of the first lunar month (Lantern Festival).
Chinese New Year is a time for families to be together. Chinese New Year Celebration is the most important celebration of the year.
This year is the year of the Horse, the Aberystwyth University Celebrations has been organised by the international office with the help from 20 students volunteers, the event will be taking place on the 31st of Jan in the Art Centre, the official celebration starts from 6:30pm -8 pm, it include having Chinese New Year greetings, Chinese Dancing, live music and dragon and lion dancing.
The event invites all members of local community to participate, the ticket will only be £1.5 per entry, it will be great time to celebrate the diversity of the university and enjoy the multicultural environment in Aberystwyth.
