The Wardens proudly present their annual traditional family pantomime Aladdin!
Abanazar, a wicked Arabian Magician needs the help of an old Egyptian Mummy (Queen Nefertiti) to find the magic lamp that will give them infinite wealth and riches. Their journey takes them to Old Peking where we meet a colourful array of traditional pantomime characters: three wacky Chinese policemen (Ping, Pong and Pom - Pom); the outrageously saucy washerwoman Widow Twankey and her two lovable sons Wishee - Washee and Aladdin. Add a mysterious Slave of the Ring, magical Genie of the lamp and cash stricken Emperor who is determined that his daughter the Princess Jasmine will marry for money – this pantomime promises to be a real treat for all the family!
Starring Sam Ebenezer as Aladdin, Ioan Guile as the Emperor, Theresa Jones as Queen Nefertiti, Julie McNicholls, Huw Bates and Paul Ditch as the policemen and of course, lots of sauce from Richard Cheshire as the lovable panto dame, Widow Twankey!
Aladdin is one of Britain’s best loved pantomimes and the Wardens production is full of Eastern promise. With a live band and a toe -tapping mix of traditional and up to date musical songs, stunning choreography, plenty of slapstick comedy, audience participation, exotic sets, dazzling costumes and stunning effects - this year is not to be missed!
