Join National Dance Company Wales outside to rediscover the joy of live dance from a powerhouse of Wales based artists.
45 minutes
Choreography: Ed Myhill & Faye Tan
Music: Steve Reich & Larch
‘Why Are People Clapping!?’ by Ed Myhill is uplifting, funny and ridiculously clever.
It’s set to composer Steve Reich’s ‘Clapping Music’ and uses rhythm as a driving force. The dancers clap, stamp and jump to create the live soundtrack.
It’s face-pulling, toe-tapping, joy.
‘Moving is everywhere, forever’ by Faye Tan. A satisfying ode to the act of dancing; an invitation to yield to the irresistible impulse of grooving, to the soundtrack by Welsh electronic duo Larch.
After the two performances will be a chance to get dancing and learn moves from the show.
The 4pm show on Wednesday the 11th of August will feature a performance in the interval from Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s Dance School.
