This devised performance is a piece of dance-theatre that is a response to the masterpiece by Igor Stravinsky that premiered in Paris in 1913. Vaslav Nijinsky created choreography for Ballet Russe dancers and the music and ballet became widely known for both radical modernism and scandalous disregard for aesthetic good taste. In 2018 second year students have explored historical and theoretical connections to create a new version that brings together texts, music and movement. The performers have taken the music and its complexities, as their inspiration.
