Music Club Spring 2022

Aberystwyth Music Club encourages the appreciation of music by promoting concerts and other relevant activities. It tries to complement the provision of major orchestral and choral concerts in Aberystwyth by arranging recitals by smaller ensembles and soloists. When suitable opportunities occur, the Club is active in promoting musical education for young people, by running workshops and master classes and by arranging performance opportunities.

Each year, the Club organizes a series of six chamber music concerts, normally in the Great Hall of the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, some on Thursday evenings and some on Sunday afternoons.

Sunday 24 April at 3 pm in the Great Hall. 

Mary Hofman (violin) and Richard Ormrod (piano).  Beethoven violin sonatas Opus 30, nos 1, 2 and 3, plus a new work (As the Thread Breaks) by Aberystwyth composer Sarah Lianne Lewis, who will introduce the piece.  This is the much-delayed second concert in the 'Beethoven in Wales' series.
