In their remote home in the North Atlantic, the Faroe Islanders have always eaten what nature could provide. Hunting whales and seabirds kept them alive for generations, a way of life to pass on to their children. But today they face a grave threat to this tradition, from the whales themselves, as polluted oceans contaminate their traditional source of food. What once secured their survival now endangers their children and forces them to make a choice: health or tradition. Inviting debate on the myriad of issues around sustainability, ethics and pollution, this award winning documentary will be followed by a live discussion hosted by Jon Snow, direct from London.
