A chilling Christmas Eve encounter on the misty marshes between Pip, a young orphan and Abel Magwitch, an escaped convict, is the prelude to Great Expectations, one of Dickens’ finest and best-loved novels.
Pip’s unforgettable journey unfolds as he encounters the eccentric Miss Havisham, her beautiful daughter Estella, brought up to avenge her stepmother’s heartbreak at being jilted at the altar, and a mysterious benefactor, legally represented by Mr Jaggers, who has designs to take the boy away from his humble roots to a new life as a gentleman in London.
Who is Pip’s secret benefactor? Will he ever find happiness with his sweetheart Estella and will his great expectations ever be fulfilled?
Great Expectations is a dramatic journey of romance, adventure and mystery and features songs and a new musical score by Dyfan Jones.
Dyma addasiad trawiadol o un o nofelau gorau a mwyaf poblogaidd Dickens. Mae’r cynhyrchiad hwn yn dilyn taith ddramatig llawn rhamant, antur a dirgelwch gan nodweddu hefyd ganeuon a sgôr gerddorol newydd gan Dyfan Jones.
