CALLING ALL ABERYSTWYTH KNITTERS TO BACK THE BOYS
BBC Radio Wales' Jamie Owen and Louise Elliott are urging the people of Aberystwyth to join them with their knitting needles or red scarves, to show their support for the Welsh rugby squad during this year's Six Nations Championship.
As part of BBC Radio Wales' Backing the Boys campaign, knitters from across the nation and beyond have teamed up to back the Welsh players by knitting an astounding 5023 feet 5 inches of red scarf (to date), which makes it taller than both Snowdon and Ben Nevis! The next target is 5280 ft - a mile long, but if it is to keep growing it needs Aberystwyth knitters to come along (knitting needles will be provided) and get involved.
The famous scarf will be taken to Aberystwyth Arts Centre, the third location of Jamie and Louise's Big Red Scarf tour, March 3 from 9am-12pm.
Mae Jamie Owen a Louise Elliott o BBC Radio Wales yn annog trigolion Aberystwyth i ymuno â nhw efo'u offer gweu neu sgarffiau coch, i ddangos eu cefnogaeth i dîm rygbi Cymru yn ystod Pencampwriaeth y Chwe Gwlad eleni.
Fel rhan o ymgyrch BBC Radio Wales i Gefnogi'r Bois, mae gweuwyr ledled y wlad a thu hwnt wedi ymuno â'i gilydd i gefnogi'r chwaraewyr trwy weu sgarff goch anhygoel sydd 5023 troedfedd a 5 modfedd o hyd (hyd yma), sy'n ei gwneud yn fwy na'r Wyddfa a Ben Nevis! Y targed nesaf yw 5280 troedfedd sef milltir o hyd, ond i gyflawni hyn mae angen help gweuwyr Aberystwyth! (darperir yr offer priodol).
Bydd y sgarff enwog yn cael ei chymryd i Ganolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth, y trydydd leoliad ar daith Sgarff Fawr Goch Jamie a Louise, ar Mawrth 3ydd o 9am-12pm.
