ALLAN YN Y FAN : PWNCO TOUR 2012
Allan Yn Y Fan is a multi-instrumental and vocal quintet as famed now for "their beautiful vocals" as for their "fiery instrumentals." On this tour Allan Yn Y Fan will be playing a selection of songs and tunes which make up their brand new album "Pwnco". This concert will feature the band's interpretations of some further gems from the Welsh storehouse of traditional music and song along with a number of the band's own compositions. The title of this tour and the album comes from a new tune interpolated into one of the key songs on the album "Canu Cwnsela" which relates to the battle of wits played out within the Mari Lwyd tradition designed to reward the players with food and drink. Allan Yn Y Fan will reward their audiences with a concert that will range from contemplative and moving songs of life and love to uproarious selections of jigs, reels and polkas.

Mae Allan Yn Y Fan yn bumawd aml-offerynnol a lleisiol sydd bellach mor enwog am "eu lleisio hardd" ag am eu "gwaith offerynnol tanllyd." Ar y daith hon bydd Allan Yn Y Fan yn chwarae detholiad o ganeuon a thonau sy'n rhan o'u halbwm newydd sbon "Pwnco". Bydd y cyngerdd yn cynnwys dehongliadau'r band o fwy o emau o stordy cerddoriaeth a chaneuon traddodiadol Cymru ynghyd â nifer o gyfansoddiadau'r band ei hun. Daw teitl y daith a'r albwm o dôn newydd a ryngblethwyd i un o'r caneuon allweddol ar yr albwm "Canu Cwnsela" sy'n cyfeirio at y cystadlu am y craffaf yn nhraddodiad y Fari Lwyd i roi gwobr o fwyd a diod i'r chwaraewyr. Bydd Allan Yn Y Fan yn gwobrwyo eu cynulleidfaoedd gyda chyngerdd fydd yn amrywio o ganeuon dwys a theimladwy am fywyd a chariad i ddetholiadau egnïol o jigiau, rîls a pholcas.
