Of all the People in All the World
An installation and performance by Stan's Cafe.
One Grain = One Person. As you enter this exhibition you will be given a grain of rice. This grain is you. Inside the exhibition, lots of people are waiting for you, represented by grains of rice. Of All The People In All The World is a performance featuring rice. A team of enigmatic auditors arrives at the Gallery, and over four days theymeasure out a series of statistics: everyone born today, everyone who died in the Holocaust, all the millionaires in the country, everyone who is HIV positive - a host of previously ungraspable statistics. The evolving sculptural landscape brings facts and figures to vibrant life, fromthe local to the global. In this unique performance, Stan's Cafe blends elements of Victorian laboratory experiment, social science and rigorous factory work to humanise formerly abstract aspects of community.

Un Gronyn = Un Person. Wrth i chwi fynd i fewn i’r arddangosfa hon rhoddir gronyn o reis i chwi. Chwi yw’r gronyn hwn. Yn yr arddangosfa, mae llawer o bobl yn aros amdanoch, yn cael eu cynrychioli gan ronynnau o reis. Perfformiad yn seiliedig ar reis yw Of All The People In All The World. Mae tîm o archwilwyr enigmatig yn cyrraedd yr Oriel, a thros bedwar diwrnodmaent ynmesur allan cyfres o ystadegau: pawb sy’n gael eu geni heddiw, pawb a fu farwyn yr Holocawst, y nifer o filiwnyddion yn ywlad, pawb sydd ag HIV - llu o ystadegau anodd eu deall. Mae’r dirwedd gerfluniol, wrth iddi ddatblygu, yn rhoi bywyd newydd i’r ffeithiau a’r ffigyrau, o’r lleol i’r bydeang. Yn y perfformiad unigryw hwn, mae Stan's Cafe yn cyfuno elfennau o arbrofion labordy Fictoraidd, gwyddor cymdeithas a gwaith ffatri trwyadl i ddyneiddio agweddau o gymuned a oedd yn haniaethol gynt.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 11am- 2pm; 3pm- 6pm
Saturday: 10pm- 12pm; 2pm-6pm
