Jordan Baseman: Inside Man

Jordan Baseman’s current research investigates ideas around contemporary portraiture, narrative structure, animation, authenticity and documentation. Baseman’s poetic and documentary-like films and screenplays combine scientific fact, anecdotal experience, hear-say and invented narrative to reveal new truths and create new meanings.

Showing in the Gallery will be a programme of filmed works including a new work which will receive its first showing at Aberystwyth. 

Jordan Baseman studied in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at Goldsmith's College in London; he is currently a Reader at Wimbledon College of Art and Lecturer at the Royal College of Art. 

Aberystwyth Arts Centre; Jordan Baseman is represented by Matt’s Gallery, London. Jordan Baseman Talk Mon 8 December 6pm, in the Arts Centre Cinema. Leading artist Jordan Baseman will be giving a talk on his work in conjunction with his exhibition. Free, all welcome.
