Romance and Drama! Two great musical portraits of the world's most famous lover in one concert: Mozart's Don Giovanni overture dramatically links both the Don's unspeakable fate and his easy-going pleasure seeking character, whilst Strauss's famous tone-poem captures the tempestuous passions and triumphs in one of the most swash-buckling of all romantic scores. 2010 also sees the bi-centenary of Schumann's birth, celebrated here with his Cello Concerto, played by one of Wales's leading performers, Paul Watkins.
