MusicFest Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth MusicFest is an enticing mix of Music Festival and Summer School. The daily evening and lunchtime festival concerts, together with student foyer performances and showcase concerts, are powerful reminders of the rejuvenating effect of listening to live music of such a high calibre.
Festival Highlights:
Sacconi Quartet, Solstice Quartet, Guy Johnston (cello), Tom Poster (piano), David Campbell (clarinet), Orion Orchestra, early music ensemble The Band of Instruments, the National Brass Band of Wales and not to forget The Tiddly Prom for under 5s! At time of press the festival programme was still being finalised, but a full brochure will be available from June - visit the Arts Centre's main website or the festival website www.abermusicfest.org or call the Box Office for a copy of the leaflet.
Summer School Weeklong courses are available for Flute, Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Cello, String Quartet, Wind Octet, Composition, Clarinet, Voice, Choral, Jazz, Practical Psychology, Conducting and Harp.
