Chinese New Year Festival: Concert of Chinese Music
This year the start of the Chinese New Year falls on Valentine’s Day. To celebrate, an extraordinary group of Chinese virtuosos from prestigious music backgrounds are visiting Aberystwyth to perform a selection of romantic masterpieces both Western and Chinese. Chinese instruments produce unique sounds and wonderful music. The variations of rhythm, beat, tone quality and embellishments are highly distinctive. The ensemble of different instruments will create a beautiful programme of traditional Chinese music, including many romantic and sentimental tunes. The concert presents an elegant treat, and the perfect evening for those looking for a memorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Prior to this concert, the Arts Centre will once again be marking the Chinese New Year with a special Chinese fair - come along and join the celebrations, with stalls offering traditional Chinese produce and special activities for all the family! 12-4pm in the main foyer.
