A beautiful black and white fantasy that mixes film noir, silent cinema and delightful animation. This is set in a world where people have lost their voice and the wicked, ruthless Mr TV, sole owner of the images that breathe life into the city, is secretly plotting a total take-over by screening hypnotic images designed to stimulate compulsive consumption of his products. Can his sinister plan be thwarted by The Inventor and the blind boy who still has a voice? Totally wonderful, totally unique, the closest comparison would be with Guy Maddin's The Saddest Music in The World.
