Great Hall Neuadd Fawr
The main concert hall at the Arts Centre is called the Great Hall and it seats over 900 people. Built in 1970, it is a very adaptable space which can be used for events as varied as live bands, symphony orchestra concerts, and top stand-up comedy acts, as well as conferences and for the University's examinations and Graduation Ceremonies.
Recent events in the Great Hall have included concerts from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Halle Orchestra, contemporary dance from Siobhan Davies Dance Company, stand-up comedy from Dave Gorman, Mike Doyle, Max Boyce and Lee Hurst, live music from Van Morrison, Jools Holland and Courtney Pine, light entertainment, national competitions, and numerous concerts and performances by local amateur groups, for example choirs and school concerts. The Great Hall is the main venue for concerts during the annual Musicfest - Aberystwyth's International Music Festival.
The Great Hall's facilities are easily adapted for conferences, lecture, and trade fairs.
Y Neuadd Fawr yw prif neuadd gyngerdd Canolfan y Celfyddydau ac y mae yno le i dros 900 o bobl. Fe'i hadeiladwyd ym 1970 a gellir addasu'r adeilad at ddefnydd amrywiaeth helaeth o weithgareddau gan gynnwys bandiau byw, cyngherddau cerddorfeydd symffoni a sioeau comedi yn ogystal â chynadleddau, arholiadau'r Brifysgol a'r Seremoniau Graddio.
Bu gweithgareddau diweddar yn y Neuadd Fawr yn cynnwys cyngherddau gan Gerddorfa Genedlaethol Cymru y BBC; dawns gyfoes gan Gwmni Dawns Siobhan Davies; comedi gan Dave Gorman, Mike Doyle, Max Boyce a Lee Hurst; cerddoriaeth fyw gan Van Morrison, Jools Holland a Courtney Pine; adloniant ysgafn; cystadlaethau cenedlaethol a nifer o gyngherddau a pherfformiadau gan grwpiau amatur lleol er enghraifft corau a chyngherddau ysgolion. Y Neuadd Fawr yw'r adeilad sy'n cynnal y rhan fwyaf o'r cyngherddau yn ystod ‘Musicfest’ - Gwyl Gerdd Ryngwladol flynyddol Aberystwyth.
