A challenging new play by the winner of the Drama Medal at the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli 2014.
A painful, funny and personal drama which gives the opportunity to cry and laugh and cry, often at the same time. According to the author, “The best way to reach a heavy heart is to laugh out loud” and ‘DIFA’ takes us from the gloomy to the funny in a helter-skelter of emotions.
The play unfolds in the head of Oswald Pritchard, a translator, as he teeters on the edge of insanity. Os has lost his job, and is afraid of losing the love of his wife, Mona. We go with him to see his ex-boss Peter and the psychiatrist Dr King, and get a glimpse of his unconventional married life, as he veers from one emotion to the next, offering entertaining, insightful observations about the world and life in general, using strong, lively prose. This is a two-act play with an interval in the middle.
