Artists' Residencies at Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
Aberystwyth Arts Centre Residencies offer artists a period of ‘time out’ away from their usual life to experiment with their work as they wish. Residencies can be 3 or 6 months in duration and includes accommodation and studio space.
We are running several different residency schemes including a Visual Arts scheme, Performing Arts, Ceramic Residency and International Visual Arts Scheme.

Entry free, all welcome. Lucy Watts: In my books and drawings I search for a wry truth at the centre of our everyday lives; a commentary on the fragile complexity of modern society. My work process is to extract information from its context to ask general questions about how we live and act in the consumer society.
Clare Wilson: My paintings evolve out of a process of layering, removing, reworking and pushing paint to find an inevitable form, allowing the unfamiliar to emerge alongside memory. Although my work is not about place, subtle shifts of tone and a restricted palette may refer to the diffused light and intervals of landscape.
